Youth In Revolt

Bryan Howe

Staring Michael Cera, i knew right away that this movie was going to have some of the same humor as his recent films. Its about a 16 year old boy named nick Nick Twisp who falls in love with a girl at the trailer park during his summer vacation. After finding out that he has to go back home when summer ends, he decides to become bad to try and get kicked out of his house so that he can live with his new girlfriend. I found this movie pretty funny. Although there were some parts in the movie that were really pointless, I would have to say that overall it was a good watch.

Movie Rating: 4 - Would Watch Again

Ethan Howe:

at least the plot was original and not like most movies that come out these days. that was the strongest thing about this film. other than that it was a low budget film that can provide a bit of entertainment the first time it is viewed. the funny parts only occur when nicks alternate personality shows up, and they are pretty funny as this person is the oppposite of him. the acting is alright, story is good, but somewhat slow.

movie rating: 3
